How to build a goalkeeper highlight reel

Your reel should

• Lead with your strongest clips.
• Be concise and to the point: cut the build-up and the aftermath around each action.
• Show a variety of actions and plays.
• Be clear and high quality: avoid distant footage, so viewers can see you, the ball and the penalty area.
• Skip slow motion.
• Run no more than 60 seconds.
• Label each type of play, for example Shot-Stopping, Distribution or Command of the Box.

Show the whole position

Include clips that show the range of what you do. These can include:

• Shot-stopping: reflex saves, diving saves, breakaways, parries and catches
• Distribution: goal kicks, long kicks, driven passes, throws, rolls and footwork
• Command of the box: claiming and punching crosses, corners, free kicks and high balls
• Sweeper-keeper actions: coming off your line, clearing through balls and decisions outside the box
• Additional strengths: positioning, organizing your backline, unique actions, assists, even a goal

Scouts filter by position, level, age, location, gender and stats, so fill in every field you can.
