How FirstLook works
FirstLook is a soccer app that puts player highlight reels in front of the coaches, scouts and agents looking for players. Here is what happens from the moment you sign up to your first conversation.
Build your profile
Sign up, confirm your email and choose your side: player, or coach, scout, agent or club staff. Players add the details people search by, including position, level, age, location and gender, plus stats and playing history. The more complete your profile, the easier you are to find.
Upload two highlight reels
Each player posts two reels of up to 60 seconds each. Many use one for their best moments and the other for specific abilities, such as first touch, hold-up play or set pieces. Our highlight reel tips and goalkeeper tips cover what to include.
Your reels go into a randomized feed
Coaches, scouts and agents browse reels one at a time, at their own pace. The feed is randomized: there are no rankings, no boosts and no paid placement. Each reel is shown on its own, so if one is passed over, your other reel still gets its own look.
Interest comes to you
When a reel catches someone's eye, they swipe to show interest. You review each interest and decide whether to accept. Nothing opens up unless you say yes.
Ten messages to see if it fits
An accepted interest becomes a match, and a match opens a conversation of ten messages shared between both sides. That is enough to learn whether there is something real. If there is, the next step goes through the people and channels your family trusts: a parent, your coach, or the program's official contacts.

FirstLook is a connection platform, not a scouting or talent agency. We do not rank players, we cannot promise any outcome, and we take no cut of what comes from a connection. What happens after a match is up to you.
